The work on the 3-storey building will start early next year and will take approximately one year to finish. The bosses at Tombola stated that the development would help the company build on its status as the largest online bingo operator in Europe. The site is 25,000 square feet site, and it is designed by Newcastle’s Ryder Architects. Moreover, it will sit next to Tombola’s current headquarters located at Sunderland’s Wylam Wharf. The director of Brims, Richard Wood stated that this type of projects of this nature does not come along often. He added that it is more than a typical office, since it has a unique design and the finishes are very high, both outside and inside. Earlier this year, Phil Cronin, the managing director and founder of Tombola revealed his plans to create nearly 80 jobs across animation, software development, and design and project management, because the drive can help push the plans to double turnover in the next 5 years. According to Cronin, it is a competitive market, but they are well placed to make sure that they will recruit the best possible candidates. Brims is a currently a privately managed and owned construction company that was established back in 2006. Its order book includes housing, education, commercial property, as well as healthcare sectors. Not to mention that it has previously secured work on £15 million Newcastle student accommodations, called the Glass Works.
