Mecca has set its eyes on a new bingo hall

Why is Mecca spending so much money on a site in Leeds?

Mecca Bingo has already submitted its plans for a new venue at a Leeds site which is right next door to the popular leisure destination – The Light. The favoured by a lot of Brits business is hoping to open a bingo hall in a couple of units on the first floor of The Cube which is located on Albion Street. It used to be occupied by the Maluko Bar.

This operation is working under the Luda brand. Moreover, it is going to support over 25 both part-time and full-time jobs. According to the plans that were lodged by Barton Willmore, there will not be any alterations whatsoever to the exterior bar which is close to one of the sets of the entrance doors. The venue has been empty since 2015, and the renovation is going to cost nearly £900,000 which is a sign of Mecca’s commitment to Leeds and its citizens.

Except for the bingo games, there will be betting machines that will be featured. However, there will be no fixed odds betting terminals, and we believe that it is for the better after the scandals during the past six months or so. Luda will also be providing a drinks and food offer, which includes a limited alcohol range that will be available throughout the entire day. Mecca Bingo currently operates around 85 clubs in the United Kingdom, including multiple sites at leads Leeds and Hunslet.
